An opportunist of the ultimate order

The decision by Dr Mamphela Ramphele to initially accept the DA presidential candidacy was not surprising because her political poverty fits in perfectly with that of the DA as her decision is understood as the reincarnation of the neo-liberal agenda in Dr Ramphele.

This failed marriage of convenience was really not a shock to us as both Dr Ramphele and Helen Zille are birds of the same feathers which habitually congregate in that they share the same political, economic and above all, education views which aim to benefit the white capital monopoly.

Dr Ramphele’s ship jumping attempt was motivated by nothing but her love to defend the material interests of white institutionalised monopoly and have exhibited such by, inter alia, her treatment of workers at the University of Cape Town (UCT).

When she was the Vice Chancellor of UCT, she ensured that the workers of UCT remain slaves through outsourcing and labour-brokering that the DA has always been fighting when they say that they will bring better life to the working class by “Ensuring that South Africa’s labour regime stays in step with labour realities by strengthening recognition for temporary work”.

This is a clear indication that Dr Ramphele is nothing else but a self-serving opportunist of the ultimate order, pursuing her selfish objectives at the expense of all else.

Following the DA announcement of its success in temporarily renting a black presidential candidate, members of Agang SA, some grass root supporters of DA and progressive citizens of SA were fed with various analysis about this renting including the fact that even Agang SA leaders were not taken on board regarding the marriage proposal between DA and Dr Ramphele.

She thought that our people are stupid and will divorce the ANC and vote for DA because it has a black rented leader who lacks honesty, credibility and truth. How can such a leader be trusted who is prepared to do anything for personal accolades and shoulder-tapping from the ‘madam’ to the extent of disregarding her own principles if she has any?

Steve Biko must be turning and rolling in his grave to realize that the mother of his child has now turned against the ideology of black consciousness. But we are sure that he shall find peace in knowing that the electorate will see through this political abortion and knowing that she will soon realize that politics are not meant for political beggars like her.

It is becoming obvious that the DA is a desperate political prostitute which needs as many Africans as possible for fronting purposes so it can remain toddling.

Truth to be told that the interim rented presidential candidate of DA shares the same characteristics as that of Zille who lacks a clear progressive ideological orientation but finds comfort amongst the liberals of DA.

Given that DA leadership endorsed Dr Ramphele as their candidate for 2014 general elections without consulting with members of both parties, is a reflection that the DA is nothing else but resurrection of National Party even though flying a different flag.

We may not be members of Agang SA but it is clear to everyone that this party was established and run by an unprincipled and self-centred person who simply walked out of her party and left many of her followers confused.

If She was indeed serious about a better life for all South Africans and having no vacillating tendencies in terms of ideology then she would have realized that agreeing to front as a DA presidential candidate was in contradiction with the honest analysis she once gave when forming Agang SA that “DA is a party for white super rich people”

But we cannot be surprised because she is an opportunist of the ultimate order!
