Star-Studded Line-Up For Human Rights Celebration

A star-studded line up of artists including Mlindo the Vocalist, Mafikizolo, and Sipho `’Hotstix’ Mabuse are scheduled to take part in this year’s provincial celebration of Human Rights Day.

Teboho Moloi, Amanda Black, Prince Kaybee, Cassper Nyovest, and Dladla Mshungisi will also feature in this year celebration.

The concert will be held at Abrahmsrust Resort in Sasolburg on March.

Speaking after the release of the anticipated line-up, the organiser of the event, Ayanda Roda, said much thought had been put in coming up with a suitable listing for the significant celebration.

Presented by One Big Entertainment, Roda said the line-up was more than appropriate taking into account the diversity of patrons that usually grace the occasion.

“The best way of closing the human rights month calendar is through a music festival which highlights issues that are affecting our communities. The artists chosen are messengers and ambassadors of human rights. This is the best way to celebrate human rights month in style,” he noted.

He added the annual festival was also intended to attract fans from neighbouring countries with its solid line up. Over the years, the event has drawn people from other provinces who`ve flocked to Fezile Dabi District for the celebration.

Moloi, who is the only gospel artists on the line-up, expressed his satisfaction in being part of the performers, saying fusing different types of genres for a celebration of this magnitude was refreshing.

“It`s always a pleasure to form part of any significant celebration, especially one of this nature which speaks and preaches messages of equality for all South Africans. There`s nothing more powerful than the word of God to unite and speak equality therefore to be part of the celebration is indeed an honour” he added.
