The Weekly Newspaper

The Weekly is a 100% black owned English Free State and Northern Cape based full colour broadsheet newspaper. It started circulating in May 2007. The newspaper creates a broader scope of communication between government, corporate world and Free State communities. It circulates in all five (5) districts and almost all towns of the Free State Province for free.

It is distributed in provincial and local government offices, shopping centres, private and corporate companies, chain groups, petrol stations, shops and libraries. Strategically located businesses with a lot of mobility are targeted to ensure access to as many people as possible. This illustrates that the newspaper is well-read in the both provinces.

The Weekly features several distinct provincial issues, such as Free State provincial and local government news including travel, entertainment, education and sport; corporate news; political and economic reporting; workplace including new appointments, careers and people on the move;publication of vacancies, tenders and real estate advertisements and opinions covering Editorial, Letters to the Editor, and analysis from contributory writers.
