Generations star hits back

The unrepentant and flabbergasted soapie star has torn into his accuser, branding him a liar, coward and fraudster who wanted to con him out of thousands of rands

In an exclusive, no holds barred interview with The Weekly, Generations star, Thami Mnqolo, known to millions of his soapie fans as Senzo, came out guns blazing describing the man who told a Sunday newspaper that he caught the popular actor with his girlfriend between the sheets as a coward and a wimp, who is afraid of women.

Mnqolo, who was irate about allegations that he was caught with his pants down with Kagiso Blaad’s lover, Lesedi Lebatlang, told this paper that his accuser was on a witch-hunt to smear his name after he laughed off his attempt to extort money from him. He challenged Blaad to man up and be mature enough to ask for advice from him on matters of the heart.

He insists Blaad is nothing but Lebatlang’s roommate, not a boyfriend like he claims.

According to the Sunday Sun, Lebatlang’s live-in partner caught the two desecrating the conjugal sheets in the couple’s Sandton apartment.

The newspaper reported that Blaad was still reeling with shock after he had come home unexpectedly and caught Mnqolo red-handed canoodling with his girlfriend.

The paper also quoted Mnqolo dismissing the allegations, insisting he slept in the spare room.

Mnqolo, who was firm and forthright, did not mince his words when interviewed by The Weekly.

“Yes I was at the apartment, but I only spent 45 minutes with my friend Lesedi Lebatlang, before her “room-mate” budged in and made nasty comments.”

He said the two room-mates are not an item and have never been intimate, even though Blaad was harbouring thoughts of having a chance with Lebatlang.

“I can’t teach him ‘ukushela’ (to propose); he must be man enough and ask the girl out. If he can do that, then I will start respecting him as a man.” He said Blaad lied to the Sunday publication that he (Mngolo) slept in a guest room.

“To even think that Kagiso said I slept in my Kaizer Chiefs T-shirt; really now, my woman (Jo-Anne Reyneke) can tell you that I sleep in my birthday suit.”

He also confirmed to The Weekly that he had opened a defamation and extortion case against Blaad, as reported.

Sunday Sun reported that that ‘Senzo’ was taken aback when Lebatlang called him on Sunday, claiming Blaad had kicked her out and would expose him if he did not pay him R100.000.

Mnqolo denied having both the mobile numbers of Blaad and Lebatlang despite conceding that the latter was his friend.

“I don’t have that guy’s number, only my lawyer has it. But if you can call me in five minutes I’ll hook you up.”

After the specified time, Mnqolo’s phone was continually engaged.
