Zastron music star speaking for the voiceless

Zastron-based afro-pop/soul sensation Nwabisa Magadla has made it her mission to speak for the voiceless who are unable to stand up for themselves.

Magadla says her target market is mainly people who have been through so much in life, people who have kept things inside for so long and can’t express themselves.

“Basically, I represent people who can’t find their voice. That’s what my music is mainly about,” she told the Free State Weekly in an interview this week.

The rising star, who was born in the Eastern Cape, released her debut single titled “Isikhalo” last year, which has been warmly welcomed by music fanatics.

The song is an outcry to victims of gender-based violence to say enough is enough.

Magadla made her first TV appearance in 2016, when she was featured by Malumz on the song “Buhle Bendalo.

She said at the moment she is busy working on several musical projects and will soon release an EP.

The ambitious and confident musician added she was inspired me to pursue music because for her passion “for my craft.”

Said Magadla, “I don’t see myself doing anything besides music. Growing up, I used to perform at family gatherings and school concerts. With all the compliments I got, I knew that I was born to sing; singing is my purpose on earth.”

She indicated she is working on growing her fan base and she’s delighted with the support and love she has been receiving from her fans so far.

The ecstatic singer’s wish list for the year is to work on another single and make a comeback on screens once again with her angelic voice.

Her music can be downloaded on all musical platforms.
