Kotle calls out gossip mongers

Actress Mapaseka ‘Pasi’ Koetle has added her voice to the outrage over the scourge of gender-based violence (GBV) that continues to increase, saying men need to rise instead of gossiping about such incidents.

The award-winning actress who hails from the City of Roses said even though women were known to be ‘gossipers’, she felt men would rather talk about other people’s personal problems than rising to make a difference.

Many of her followers resonated with the star, sharing similar life experiences. However, some men were offended by the video, saying Pasi was talking nonsense.

The outspoken actress wasted no time, setting one follower straight. “I’m sure you are the admin of your WhatsApp group,” she said, to the delight of many.

“Those men who just love gossiping. These are the leaders in the group chats and always serve the scoop. They spend the whole day sticking their noses in people’s business,” she added.

The e.tv Scandal star who usually serves her followers with spicy videos on Fridays called on men to fight against gender-based violence and femicide, pleading with men to stop seeing women as possessions and sexual objects of gratification.

She said perpetrators of GBV were not from space, citing: “Those who hurt us are our men; they’re us. It’s our fathers, brothers, sons, friends.”
