It’s all systems go for Free State fashion designers as entries for this year’s Fashion Week have officially been opened.
In a statement, the organisers announced a new search for this year’s ambassador.
Last year, Lungile Mazibuko was crowned Face of Free State Fashion Week.
During her tenure, the Bachelor in Social Sciences student at the University of Free State embarked on an education drive as well as collected sanitary pads for disadvantaged girls.
Mazibuko got a further cap on June 1 when she was crowned Miss Free State, a title which will see her represent the province in the Miss South Africa beauty pageant.
“To all girls, no matter where you are come from, no matter where you are right now, always remember your dreams are valid,” said Free State Fashion Week CEO, Candy Smith.
The annual Face of Free State Fashion will take place on September 21 at the Sun Windmill in Bloemfontein.
Auditions will be held on July 13.
Interested parties can visit www.freestatefashionweek or email: firstname.lastname@example.org before July 10 to enter.
