It’s been a while since fans have seen actress and businesswoman Sophie Lichaba on their TV screens but luckily for them the 47-year-old will be back soon, this time as a talk-show host.
The new show, Hashtags, will cover social and lifestyle topics and Sophie will share hosting duties with radio personalities Mantsoe Pout and Francois Louw, and celebrity publicist and communications strategist Jarred Doyle.
Juvais Dunn, executive producer and managing director at Weldun Media, says the show was inspired by a lack of programming addressing the issues faced by millennials.
“After looking at what is currently on offer in the TV market space we felt that there’s a gap for a talk show that addresses real issues faced by millennials, whilst giving Africa a voice to the rest of the world,” explains Dunn.
Dunn also says the four hosts were chosen strategically as they “bring their unique blend of personalities, humour and insider knowledge to various topics that affect millennials”.
Taking to Instagram to make the announcement, Sophie posted a snap of herself with the show’s three other hosts and revealed she couldn’t wait to share the news with her fans.
“Hello darlings! Weitsi keng ne (you know what neh)? I’ve been keeping this in for the longest time but yhu! It’s been a struggle! Can I get an amen for my new show with my hunnies?,” she posted. –Channel24
