Celebrated Hip-Hop artist Sjava says he is ready to wow patrons at the seventh annual Women of Note Celebration taking place on August 10.
On Monday, Sjava took to various social media platforms to announce he is one of the headline artists for this year’s show set to take place at Vista Arena South Campus. Sjava is one of the four males to perform at the women-centered show, along with two female artists.
Sjava’s individualised promotional poster has an animated profile image of the artist dressed in isiZulu attire, comprising a head and chest piece.
The poster reveals the identities of other acts who will share the stage with him on the night. These include veteran kwaito group, TKZee, Mlindo The Vocalist, Vusi Nova, and female vocalists Shekhinah and Nonkosi.
The concert was incepted in 2012.
Adding a bit of a teaser, organisers are adding a new face. However, they appear to be playing hide and seek, probing fans to guess who the possible artist to be added is.
The organisers posted on their social media platforms an empty image with a question mark, sparking debate as to who the artist might be.
“Akere le rile re mo tlise, Re ready man!” the administrator posted. The only person to make the right guess was local socialite Leungo Caliba Konelo, who said Cassper Nyovest.
While the administrator has commented on other names suggested by the patrons, nothing was said on this one, with only Stone Candi Brown giving a shout out for guessing correctly.
Festival director, Lorato Gomolemo refused to be drawn into confirming saying: “The announcement would be made at the right time.”
